LEVEL UP for Special Olympics – Take the Plunge February 4

Christina School District will take the Plunge on Sunday, February 4, in Rehoboth Beach to raise money for Special Olympics Delaware.
Students in Christina schools and programs participate in various Special Olympic events throughout the year. Events like the Lewes Polar Bear Plunge help to fuel the mission of Special Olympics Delaware to provide year-round sports training, competition, leadership opportunities, and health screenings to over 4,200 athletes.
We know it will be cold, but we don’t do it because it’s easy; we do it to make a difference. Together, we can raise more money for Special Olympics Delaware than we ever could alone.

The New Castle County School Districts will be holding a “Transition to Adult Life Fair” from 5:30-8:30 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2023 at Chase Center on the Riverfront. This fair is designed to connect students and their families to valuable resources that will help them build successful lives after high school.
During the fair, students and families will have the opportunity to engage with representatives from various community agencies and organizations who specialize in supporting students with disabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about various options available to students as they transition to adulthood, and to connect with professionals who can offer guidance and assistance.

The WLC seeks to create a framework for community engagement and impact to improve student achievement and wellness, improve educator retention rates, and reduce the impact of student mobility and trauma.
